02/16/08 Golf Professional Adam Witt Joins Mariner’s Landing Golf and Country Club
Huddleston, VA, February 16, 2008 -- Mariners Landing Golf and Country Club announces the hiring of Adam Witt, Head Golf Professional. Witt passed his Playing Ability Test in June 2006 and is currently enrolled in the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Program. Witt replaces former head golf professional, Todd Hammock. Hammock is now Mariner’s Landing Director of Golf Operations. Hammock said Adam will be responsible for member relations, player development programs, corporate event planning, teaching and merchandising. “Adam’s work ethic, public relation skills, and experience in the golf business are a great addition to our Club and its management team,” said Hammock. Witt, a Henry County native, was Assistant Golf Professional at Lynwood Golf & CC in Martinsville from 2002 until 2006. Witt was Assistant Golf Professional at Bassett Country Club in 2006 before joining Mariner’s Landing. “I am excited about being part of the Mariners Landing Golf & Country Club staff,” said Witt. “I’m looking forward to working with the members and golfers around Smith Mountain Lake.” Witt resides in Collinsville with his wife, Carmela, and two children: Tatianna and Tyler.
